Briony Heard

About Briony

Briony completed her post-graduate accredited intermediary training course with Communicourt in 2020. Since then, she has worked full time as a HMCTS appointed intermediary in the criminal, family and civil courts across South England and Wales. Alongside this role, she has also mentored other intermediaries to facilitate their development and has been involved with intermediary training.

She graduated with a Psychology degree from the University of Southampton and prior to working as an intermediary, she worked in a special educational needs setting. This involved supporting the communication and learning of children with complex learning, physical, emotional and behavioural needs.

She is passionate about the intermediary role, improving awareness of communication difficulties and providing equal access to justice for all.
